Fairday Opening Concert

This year the Csik Chamber Orchestra celebrates its 20th anniversary! The anniversary will be celebrated with an evening with Beethoven. The concert will be held in the St. Augustine Parish Church, as usual on the Fairdays of Miercurea Ciuc. 

At this evening's concert, the Csik Chamber Orchestra will be joined by the Gödöllő Symphony Orchestra. The soloist of the evening will be Barnabás Kelemen, Kossuth and Liszt Prize-winning violinist from Budapest, who will be standing for the second time as soloist of the orchestra. The conductor of the concert will be Gábor Horváth (Budapest).

Their programme will include two emblematic works by Ludwig van Beethoven:

Violin Concerto in D major, op. 61

Symphony no. 7 in A major, op. 92
