About
The commemorative exhibition of Benczúr Gyula, one of the greatest figures of 19th century Hungarian historical painting, which is being presented for the first time in Szeklerland, is based on the artifact collection of the Jósa András Museum in Nyíregyháza. The special feature of the exhibition at the Haáz Rezső Museum is that Benczúr Gyula's oil paintings, prints from his early period and personal objects are complemented by rarely seen paintings from the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery.
Benczúr Gyula's paintings, which have historical messages and depict important personalities of his time, are on display in Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely until 30 June at the Haberstumpf Villa, from 9-18 on weekdays and 10-18 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Groups are kindly requested to book in advance by calling +40266-218375.
