About

In 2025, a research group of Romanian and Hungarian historians was formed to comprehensively explore the history of Odorheiu Secuiesc and prepare its city monograph. A key milestone of this multi-year project is the urban history conference held on January 24, as part of the Day of Hungarian Culture events, featuring twelve lectures.
The conference covers the city’s early history and townscape, cultural and social developments of the 18th–19th centuries, the impact of World War I and the change of sovereignty, demographic changes, political discrimination in the 20th century, and the city’s transformation into a municipality.
