Nyergestető is located in the southern part of the Csík Basin southwest of Kászonújfalu and southeast of Csíkkozmás at 875 m above sea level. The most famous memorial pillar of the Csíki Mountains, memory of one of the last battles of the 1848-49 Hungarian Revolution and the War of Independence (Szabadságharc), is a perennial symbol of patriotism. The nearby forest is not only the cemetery of the fallen soldiers from the 1849s, but also the final resting place of the victims of the Turkish-Tatar invasions in 1550 and 1660.
In addition to the historical information, visitors can get a taste of the material and written memories of the 1848-49 Hungarian War of Independence, as a part of József Szanka’s private collection is exhibited in the Café.
The geographical location of our guesthouse, the silence of the forest and the rich air swirling through the pines all all contribute to a relaxed rest.

Deság Resort has 10 houses and 3 rooms with separate entrances. The spacious wooden houses have two bedrooms with own bathroom and a living room with extra bed (if necessary).
