BUFNIȚEI STONE | HARGHITA MOUNTAINS
About
As winter approaches, the days grow shorter and the nights longer, so we usually aim to finish our hikes before nightfall. However hiking in the dark has a charm of its own, transforming even the most familiar trails into something entirely different.
With the switch to winter time, we choose to embrace the darkness rather than fear it, seeing it as an opportunity for a different kind of adventure, and with All Saints’ Day approaching, we’re heading to Bufniței Stone after dark, at a time when the forest’s nocturnal inhabitants, the owls, are active too.
