Mushroom Weekend in Piricske

A weekend dedicated to the rich mushroom treasures of the Piricske Forest, autumn nature and special gastronomic experiences!

Saturday, October 3 – Mushroom Hunt
Starting at 09:00 from Mountain Rest Guesthouse, we head into the forest with mushroom experts from the László Kálmán Mycological Association. After the hike, the collected mushrooms will be identified and evaluated, followed by interesting talks about mushrooms and a tasting of traditional Piricske mushroom paprikash.

The day continues with three special presentations on forest mushrooms, fungi affecting buildings, and the traditional art of tinder fungus.

19:00 – Gastronomic Evening
A special 4-course mushroom dinner by chef Előd Szőcs. Advance table reservation is required.

Sunday, October 4 – Family Day
A fun autumn day for the whole family, with a bouncy castle, face painting, games, activities and special mushroom dishes prepared by invited teams.

Saturday’s daytime programme and all Sunday activities are free of charge.
