The primary goal of the competition is to promote the cultured consumption of distillates and pálinka in Transylvania, with a special focus on centuries-old traditions and modern quality standards. Participants receive detailed feedback on the sensory characteristics of their submitted samples, provided by highly experienced international judges. The competition also aims to support the business category by enhancing marketing tools and commercial opportunities, while encouraging high-quality production among individual participants.
CATEGORIES:
- Business category: Open to commercial enterprises that produce or distribute distillates/pálinka.
- Individual category: Open to private distillers or individuals who have their distillates produced at a contract distillery.
The competition is held every May.
