Turbulencia Aeroclub is a sports club in Miercurea Ciuc, founded by mountain and flight enthusiasts. Club members use non-motorized and motorized devices. The main field of activity is paragliding and mountain hiking. The club has 43 active members, 2 examiner instructors, 1 tandem pilot. The club organizes paragliding courses, paragliding and deltaplan festivals and competitions, demonstration flights with passengers (paragliding flight) in Miercurea Ciuc. The club's instructors have over 17 years of experience gained at national and international competitions. The record of the competition's riders in the club is impressive, with more than 100 seats on the prize-winning podium.

Canyoning and gorge walking are very similar adventure-sports. Usually gorge walking does not require any rope-technique: you wade in the water of the bed of the brook, you stroll from a stone to a stone, then you climb smaller rocks, jump off from waterfalls. We talk about canyoning, when at some sections of the canyon we meet such waterfalls, from which we need to abseil with rope-technique. In the Lacul Roşu (The Red Lake)-Cheile Bicazului region an excellent ground for adventurous gorge walking is the rocky bed of the Bicajel and Lăpuşului gorge. For canyoning the best ground is the upper section of the rarely beaten, extremely narrow and spectacular Pârâul Sec, which can only be passed with the help of an experienced guide and rope-technique.

Nothing can be more refreshing in a hot summer day than rappelling into the cool waters of a mountain waterfalls and admiring the canyon neighbouring. Meeting with the guide on site (by prior arrangement).   Program description: Canyoning is a relatively “young” activity, dating back to the 1970s, but thanks to its dynamic development, it became very popular by the mid-1980s. The technical solutions combine the equipment and techniques used in mountaineering and caving. Basically, it means descending in a gorge valley with rope. Approach the canyon from above, our direction of travel is only possible downwards and leave it at the bottom. On these tours we provide the individual and collective equipment for canyoning and the snack. Here, the tour guide is also a canyoning tour guide who is a cave lifeguard and he is responsible for the safety of the members.  The Sec/Száraz Creek (meaning: dry) separates the Hășmașul Negru/Fekete-Hagymás and the Telecul Mare Mountains. It is located entirely in the Bicaz Groge-Hășmaș National Park. The approach tour is 1.5-2 hours. The terrain is very steep, but beautiful. The canyoning tour is 4-7 hours. In this canyon, the number of smaller to larger waterfalls exceeds 15. Beautiful and very spectacular tour. The exit from the canyon back to the car is 30-45 minutes. We recommend this tour only to people who are in good physical condition. It is important for participants to be able to swim. This canyon can really be enjoyed in the spring during the snowmelt period, though the water is very cold at this time.   Important information: Before each tour, the guest fills out a declaration of their own responsibility and we also recommend accident insurance, even though we have never had an accident before (and we want to preserve this tradition). Meeting with the guide on site (by prior arrangement).   Program description: Canyoning basically means walking through rock gorges, with proper protective clothing: neoprene clothing and socks (this keeps the body warm), any shoe can be used which is so good quality that after soaking it does not fall apart, and a helmet. Anyone can take part in these tours (it doesn’t matter if you can't swim). We provide the tour guide (who is a canyoning tour guide and cave rescuer), individual equipment (neoprene clothing, socks, helmet), team equipment (dry backpack to keep clothes and small things e.g. cameras, phones, car keys dry, ropes and carabiners). Footwear is not provided, everyone should bring it.  The Bicăjel/Kis-Békás Creek (means little frog) separates the Piatra Poienii/Máriakő and Surduc/Szurdokkő. It can be reached in half an hour in a beautiful terrain. The walk through the gorge takes 3-4 hours and the return trip takes place on the Bicaz/Békás Gorge, so the tour includes a visit to it too. This is a very nice canyon tour with many deep stone cauldrons in which you can jump. Along the way, we also touch the huge waterfall of the Fehér (white) Creek. Good physical fitness comes in handy on this tour as it is long enough, but after all you can get out of the creek anytime if you get tired.   Useful information: You can only apply for our canyon tours from spring to late autumn, the warmest summer days are most ideal as the mountain streams in our area are all very cold without exception. The Lapos (flat) Strait is the valley of the Lapos Stream, which separates the Kupás and Bardócz Mountains, in the area of ​​the Bicaz Gorge-Hășmaș/Nagyhagymás National Park. The road takes approx. 45-60 minutes but also accessible by car (in this case someone has to bring the car back). Walk through the strait takes 2-3 hours. We have several routes depending on the level of difficulty and experience. Hiking trails and time must be booked in advance by phone or email. The minimum number of participants for a tour is 4 people. We have 3 types of tours, but at the beginning of each is a 30-minute training to learn how to operate the devices, after which you can choose between tours of 1,2 or 3 hours. The tour starts from the parking lot of Hotel Fortuna with the guidance of a guide. Price: for the single lap package with 1,5 hour of activity 100 Ron, 30 min training - 60 min lap time on the chosen route. The price is set depending on the length, type of route and additional services requested. Please ask us what type of program you want with all your wishes, and we set the price according to them.

The Raven Club

Paragliding is a recreational and competitive flying sport. A paraglider is a free-flying, foot-launched aircraft. The pilot sits in a harness suspended below a fabric wing, whose shape is formed by its suspension lines and the pressure of air entering vents in the front of the wing. There is no prior experience necessary for a tandem flight. Age is not a factor. We can get just about anyone up on a tandem flight. We also offer 1 or 2 Days Introductory Paragliding Lesson.
