Both the phrase and the activity come from the Dolomites in Italy. Safe climbing requires technical equipment: harness, shock-absorbing bridle, helmet and gloves. In the Red Lake tourist destination there is only one such built-in iron climbing road, which bears the name of Wild Ferenc, and is built on the south-western side of the Suhardul Mic/Kis-Cohárd. Its total length is 200 meters and the level difference is 170 meters. Nearby there is another such ironed climbing path in the Munticelu/Munticseli nature reserve called Astragalus with a total length of 700 meters, divided into 5 climbing paths and the level difference of the main route is 285 meters. Participation requirements: minimum height 1.6 meters and minimum weight 40 kilograms (below 40 kilograms, the shock-absorbing bridle is not activated). In these programs we provide: seat belt, shock-absorbing bridle, safety helmet, guide (cave rescue specialist). The program can be held from April to November, depending on weather conditions.   Before each tour, participants complete a declaration of their own responsibility and we recommend accident insurance. We offer a wide range of adventures for able and disabled people. From spring till autumn we run, wander on foot, take e-bike tours, downhill with disability bikes, go climbing or enjoy a via ferrata route. In the winter we switch to touring skis, we teach kids and curious adults how to ski/snowboard, and with the help of our sitskiis we offer some great fun to our disabled friends.

From Uz Bence chalet we follow the local road to the house of the forester, from where we approach the ski slopes to the right. We cross the top of the Csipike Slope, following the road to the Miklós Slope that we cross. Following the imaginary line marking the margins of the Orottas crater, we look toward North and see the saddle that will be the turning point to the left. Following the ridge we reach the rocky formation named Kossuth's Rock (the maximum altitude of the trail) located near the ski slope with a similar name. From this point we descend to the cauldron in which we see a savannah, then following the high voltage network we descend on the very visible path, oriented towards S-SE, this path will cause us to cross some muddy areas, after which we will intersect the road forest Piricske, where several holiday homes are visible. Following the stream of the brook, after a few crossings of the meadow, sprinkled by volcanic bombs, we find to the left DN 13 A at about 4.5 km from Miercurea Ciuc (end of the mark). After approx. 0.7 km downhill along the paved road, we reach the intersection with a country road (left), called Ciba street, served by local bus races. The trail is in the Harghita mountains.

We created Stone Age Climbing Space with the goal of making the experience of climbing accessible to all ages — whether someone is a complete beginner or an experienced climber. Our indoor climbing gym offers routes of various difficulty levels, and we place great emphasis on providing a safe and supportive environment. In addition, we regularly organize training sessions, introductory classes, community events, as well as family, children’s, and adult programs.

The otherwise very visited tourist attraction now can be explored in a different way with Via Ferrata routes, ladders and suspended bridges, underground passages and zip line. The More Than Explore team offeres a wide range of outdoor activities, both during winter and summer time, perfect occasions for nature lovers regardless of experience levels. 

Route status is relative. The eastern ridge does not have obvious protection in the first 3 lengths, Vânătorii de Munte has orientation problems, the sixth regrouping from "Umbra Muchiei" is made in friends. Access Route: Going down to the keys, about 200 meters ahead of the tunnel, a road crossing the Bicaz heads left. A few years ago here was the Cheile Bicazului Chalet, completely destroyed by a fire. The trail (obviously from place to place) starts in the forest and after about 5 minutes descends to Lapoşului valley where you can pass to the other shore. After another 10 minutes of climbing, you reach a fir tree on which an arrow symbolizes a split. To the left, go to the entrances on most routes, and to the right onto the entrances to the Northwest Pillar and the Classic Route. Retract route: All routes reach the peak. From here, the Classic Route (2-3 bobbins depending on the ropes we have) goes downwards and from the entrance it continues descending to the point of branching.

Route description: LC 1: We start on a light track. Then there is a vertical crack that closes, the steps being in this area. LC 2: It goes up a few meters straight up, then starts in a fairly long traverse to the left. At one point, we have a downward step a little more difficult. It follows the passage of an edge and the entrance to a clear, lighter Bavaria. LC 3: Length 3 starts with the left traverse, this time easier. Then climb vertically through a more friable area. Then there is a long oblique crack left. The steps here are much more delicate. Towards the end, the crack breaks out and climbs over a poorly assured tray, underneath two sloppy dips that move, the next assurance far above. LC 4: It is the longest, the most difficult free climb, but it also works artificially. After a new left-hand traverse, the large crack that bridges the wall is caught. There is a tree after several bad pitches are passed, but there is no problem because there are spits from place to place. There is a hoop and from here we continue on a well-knit vertical die. There are a few steps of free interest, not very heavy. After the dihedral, we are overtaking a completely washed face where it is probably the free step of the route. LC 5: It's short and light. A short straight crossing, then upward on the large sockets into the forest, the final regrouping of the tree. The two lengths can merge.

Then it’s time to begin your climbing challenge above Red Lake resort. With the entire route secured in this manner, Via Ferrata is a family-friendly activity. As you make your way up guided by a series of fixed cables and ladders, stop to admire the scenery. In the second half of the trail you will also need to cross the trails iconic suspension bridge. Here you may write down a few words about your experience in the trail’s guestbook hidden at the end of the bridge. Your Via Ferrata adventure ends at the top of the 1345 m high Kiscohard or Suhardu Mic Massif where we can rest for a while, discuss the thrills of the tours and even trek a bit to get a glimpse of the Bicaz Gorges from above. From the peak we hike down and get back to the cars on a hiking trail. Please note that while no prior climbing experience is necessary, guests should be fit enough to climb a ladder.

The good mood, and the adventure are guaranteed! • Via Ferrata Wild Ferenc: Location: Red Lake, Suhardu-Mic. Its total length is 200 meters and the level difference is 170 meters with avesome view, and with a hanging bridge.  The climbing route is named after Ferenc Wild, who was a well-known alpinist, rocklimbing trainer, and the founder of the Suhardu Mic Mountainresque team, later Dancurás Mountainresque team, wich is still exists. Dificulty C, the hardest section is D, climbing time 1/1,5 – 2 our. • Via Ferrata Astragalus: Location: Rezervația Cheile Șugaului, with a total length of 700 meters, and the level difference is 285 meters. the climbing route is named Astragalus wich is a local plant, wich can only be found here, so it is really rare. The Astragalus route is the longest via ferrara route in Romania, and ofers unforgetable view and adventure. It was built by a wellknown alpinist Ticu Lacatusu. Dificulty B, hardest section C, climbing time: 2/2,5 – 3 our. Number of participants: min. 2, max 6.

The "Goat Danger" via ferrata was built in the summer of 2012 on the Kecskevész rock on Harghita-Mădăraș mountain. Thanks to the support of the Harghita County Council, at the village of Corbu/Gyergyóholló has completed the installation of an approximately 150-meter ironed climbing trail, including a 15-meter suspension bridge and a vertical section with rungs of 15 meters. Red Lake, Bicaz Gorge, Harghita (English) (C/D) The “Wild Ferenc” via ferrata route was opened in autumn 2016, in Suhardul Mic mountain (1345m), near Red Lake, in Bicaz Gorge, Harghita county. Székelyudvarhely’s first indoor climbing gym, WonderWall Climbing Gym, has been welcoming climbing enthusiasts from near and far since October 2024.  Our goal is, among other things, to introduce the secrets of climbing to those who have never tried it before and would like to give it a go, while also providing professional-level services to help experienced climbers pursue their favorite sport.  Currently, we welcome visitors with a 140m² bouldering wall.
