Hot air balloon flights around Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely. The total duration of the free flight is 3-4 hours, but the flight takes approx. 1 hour. Many people think that hot air ballooning is an adrenaline rush activity, but it is not. In fact, hot air ballooning is a pleasure flight, and is an endlessly calm, breathtaking sport. The gardon is a musical instrument carved from wood. It resembles a cello, but its body is sculpted from a single piece of wood. At the workshop in Boros Valley, visitors can delve into the secrets of creating this instrument and follow the entire process as the wood comes to life step by step, transforming into a true wonder. Carving the gardon is a fascinating process from start to finish. As the excess material is removed and the final shape of the instrument takes form, each step represents a rebirth of the wood. During the workshop visit, visitors can see how a Gyimes gardon is made or what tools are used in the workshop.

I'm Mircse Ildikó, a master weaver living in Szeklerland, who is happy to show you the weaving process from thread to the finished product. On request, children's activities can be organised in the workshop, during which children weave small items.

Escapada ta începe în Miercurea Ciuc, unde ghidul te va aștepta cu un vehicul 4x4. Înainte de experiența off-road, vom parcurge satele din bazinul Ciucului până la satul Nicolești. Depinzând de anotimp și condițiile meteo, vom putea explora drumul spre Vârful Păgânului și Muntele Nășcălat, de unde poți să te bucuri de priveliștea Bazinului Ciucului. Urcăm pe creasta munților Nășcălat, trecem de pasul Tarcău și urmăm drumul forestier de-a lungul crestei. În 2-2,5 ore ajungem la granița Parcului Naţional Cheile Bicazului - Hăşmaş, unde opțional, printr-o drumeție usoară de 2-3 ore poți cuceri vârful Ecem (1707 m). De pe creasta lor stâncoasă poți să te bucuri de panorama extraordinară asupra munților din jur. Întorcându-ne la mașină, călătoria se continuă pe trasee forestiere și prin zonele tradiționale muntoase până în sătucul Trei Fântâni. Aici poți observa modul de viață tradițional și poți degusta păstrăv proaspăt din crescătoria locală, servit de o familie de localnici. În împrejurimile satului poți întâlni herghelii de cai, turme de ovine și bovine păscând, păzite de ciobani. De la Trei Fântâni ne îndreptăm spre Cheile Bicazului, care se întind de-a lungul Văii Bicăjelului, cu case din lemn și căpițe, păduri dense și cascade mici. După ce am admirat cheile masive și am făcut o scurtă plimbare de 1,5 ore în jurul Lacului Roșu sau o tură ghidată via ferrata, urmează să ne întoarcem spre Miercurea-Ciuc prin satul risipit Covacipeter, unde se poate vizita și izvorul râului Olt. Pornind din Odorhei sau cazarea din apropiere, explorăm blocul nordic al Munților Persani, și partea de sud a Munților Harghitei. Mergem pe drumuri forestiere șerpuite, traversând pârâie, trecând pe lângă vaci care pasc, localnici care lucrează pe câmp, după care descoperim lumea fermecată a rezervației naturale Cheile Vârghișului printr-o drumeție scurtă. Trecem pe lângă meșteșugari care încă se mai ocupă de arderea cărbunilor, într-o localitate din apropiere gustăm specialități de brânzeturi la o gospodărie locală, după care ne întoarcem la punctul nostru de pornire. Desprinde-te din viaţa de zi cu zi şi vino să petreci o zi în munții din apropiere! Cu o mașină de teren bine echipată, poți explora colțurile ascunse din Munții Hășmașului și Cheile Bicazului. Pe parcurs, pe lângă admirarea peisajului minunat, vom avea ocazia să vizităm Lacul Roșu și Cheile Bicazului, dar descoperim și sătucul Trei Fântâni, unde poţi observa modul de viaţă tradiţional şi poţi degusta păstrăv proaspăt din crescătoria locală, servit de o familie de localnici. Trecând prin gropi și râpe, ajungem la Tarcău printr-un drum lateral, de aici putem face o scurtă drumeție până la vârful Ecem. Pe un drum forestier cu serpentine coborâm în Bălan, orășelul minier de altă dată, urmând râul Olt, pe un alt drum forestier urcăm în Covacipeter, și ne odihnim la izvorul râului. Pe un drum abrupt ne întoarcem în Depresiunea Giurgeului. Prin solicitare prealabilă, tura se poate completa cu experiență via ferrata în Cheile Bicazului. Desprinde-te din viaţa de zi cu zi şi hai la o tură de neuitat pe munte cu maşini 4x4, unde poți parcurge colțurile ascunse din Munții Ciucului, Munții Hășmaș sau munții din zona Ghimeșului, admirând peisajul nemaipomenit de pretutindeni. Printre multitudinea de drumuri alegem în funcție de preferințe, interesul participanților și desigur, de condiții meteo. Parcurgem drumuri forestiere cunoscute de localnici, pe teren variat. Din valea Trotușului urcăm o pantă lungă pe creasta Munților Ciucului, ca apoi să putem admira priveliștea. După acesta, la cerere, vom avea posibilitatea de a vizita o stână, de a cunoaște stilul de viață tradițional al localnicilor și de a experimenta ospitalitatea lor. Coborâm la localitatea ascunsă Trei Fântâni pe un drum lateral, unde învățăm despre munți calcaroși de lângă izvorul Cald. De aici sunt doar câțiva km până la Lacul Roșu și Cheile Bicazului, unde facem un scurt repaus. După o notificare prealabilă poți să ai parte de o experiență via ferrata în deplină siguranță pe pereții de stâncă din chei. Pe parcurs, învățăm despre evenimentele din Războaiele Mondiale l și II. După-amiază, ne întoarcem în Ghimeș trecând prin sate ascunse, păduri și pășuni alpine. Te invităm să te desprinzi de viața de zi cu zi, luându-ți cu tine familia, pentru a petrece o tură pe munte cu mașini 4x4, unde poți parcurge trasee și colțuri ascunse ale Munților vulcanici Călimani, a zonei Toplița, Bilbor, admirând atât elementele ale florei naturale, cât și posibilitatea întâlnirii pe traseu cu animale sălbatice în mediul lor natural, specifice faunei locale. Din multitudinea de drumuri, putem alege în funcție de preferințele fiecărui turist, a fiecărei familii, trasee și obiective, de dificultate și ritm de parcurgere a acestora de la niveluri de începător până la cel de avansați.  Ne lăsăm mașinile proprii în parcarea asociației de unde ne îmbarcăm în mașinile de teren plecând la drum spre o călătorie de neuitat. Primul popas îl avem lângă Monumentul Eroilor – Toplița Secu, unde sunt înmormântați 771 de soldați români, eroi ai Primului Război Mondial (9 km de centrul Mun. Toplița – DN15 la ieșirea spre Borsec). Pornim agale pe traseul înspre Schitul Gura Izvor, unde pe traseu se vor observa cele 14 troițe din lemn de stejar, ridicate în cinstea eroilor ostași înhumați pe dealurile din zonă. La Schitul Gura Izvor, vom face o pauză de gustare cu mâncare mănăstirească, unde admirăm una dintre puținele vâltori funcționale, dar vă și invităm să admirați peisajul oglindit al naturii, ca oază de liniște și meditație. Plecăm mai departe spre Coloanele de bazalt de la cariera din Deluț, unde ne oprim pentru o pauză foto și pentru explicații despre vulcanism. Traseul ne conduce spre vârful Bradul Ciont unde înainte de vizitarea Lacului Iezer vom lua prânzul tradițional cu bucate alese din zonă, în spațiul de campare special amenajat al Parcului Național Călimani. După mica siestă, pornim pe jos înspre Lacul Iezer (aproximativ 10 minute de mers pe jos de la zona de campare) unde admirăm atât vegetația specifică zonei subalpine (jneapăn, ienupăr, merișor, afin), cât și luciul rece al lacului Iezer (lac de baraj natural), unde își are izvorul pârâul Puturosu. La coborâre ne întoarcem pe un alt traseu, pârâul Puturosu unde vom întâlni și ne vom face provizii de apă la Izvoraș, un jgheab de apă cristalină și rece care potolește setea oricărui trecător. Printr-o notificare prealabilă se poate înnopta la Cabana „Vii la Munte – Călimani”, unde te poți bucura de peisaj, o baie bună la ciubăr (opțional) și de bucate alese. Pe parcursul călătoriei noastre învățăm despre istoria locală, războaiele mondiale, date geografice și geologice precum și detalii privind fauna și flora. Ajungem la cascadă unde vom poposi pentru o ședință foto, în care să vă energizați cu susurul apei și foșnetul pădurii de conifere, dar și cu prânzul tradițional cu bucate alese din zonă. După mica siestă, pornim înapoi pe jos, încet și fără grabă, înspre locul unde ne-am lăsat mașinile. În funcție de anotimpul în care ne aflăm pe traseu putem culege fructe de pădure (zmeură, afine, merișoare, mure, fragi) ciuperci (piciorul căprioarei, râșcovi, ghebe, hribi, gălbiori) și plante medicinale (cimbrișor, coada șoricelului, coada calului, sunătoare, ciuboțica cucului, chimen, etc). Printr-o notificare prealabilă se poate înnopta la Cabana „Vii la Munte – Călimani”, unde te poți bucura de peisaj, o baie bună la ciubăr (opțional) și de bucate alese. Pornim agale pe traseul înspre Pârtie de Schi, loc unde se poate servi la restaurantul Pensiunii Baciu o gustare sau o cafea, și admira panorama municipiului și a întregului bazinet Toplițean. Opțional atât adulții cât și copiii pot opta pentru o lecție de echitație.  Plecăm mai departe înspre Stâncile cu coloape (Babele Gurghiului) unde vom vedea niște formațiuni geologice interesante parte a unui relief vulcanic rezidual. Din punctul de vizitare pute admira vârful Bătrâna și asculta legenda acestui loc. Prânzul tradițional cu bucate alese din zonă îl vom servi la coborârea spre stâna familiei Micu Marian, loc din care vă puteți procura cele mai gustoase brânzeturi maturate sau proaspete din zonă.  În funcție de anotimpul în care ne aflăm pe traseu putem culege fructe de pădure (zmeură, afine, merișoare, mure, fragi) ciuperci (piciorul căprioarei, râșcovi, ghebe, hribi, gălbiori) și plante medicinale (cimbrișor, coada șoricelului, coada calului, sunătoare, ciuboțica cucului, chimen, etc). În drum spre casă putem poposi la Câmpul cu Lavandă din Gălăuțaș al familiei Cotfas Doru, de unde puteți achiziționa produse specifice: săculeți aromatizați, uleiuri esențiale, alte produse. Nyergestető is located in the southern part of the Csík Basin southwest of Kászonújfalu and southeast of Csíkkozmás at 875 m above sea level. The most famous memorial pillar of the Csíki Mountains, memory of one of the last battles of the 1848-49 Hungarian Revolution and the War of Independence (Szabadságharc), is a perennial symbol of patriotism. The nearby forest is not only the cemetery of the fallen soldiers from the 1849s, but also the final resting place of the victims of the Turkish-Tatar invasions in 1550 and 1660. In addition to the historical information, visitors can get a taste of the material and written memories of the 1848-49 Hungarian War of Independence, as a part of József Szanka’s private collection is exhibited in the Café. The geographical location of our guesthouse, the silence of the forest and the rich air swirling through the pines all all contribute to a relaxed rest. Our demanding musical repertoire encompasses the style of folk and patriotic rock music, recalling the historical events of old times. Our food supply is based mainly on the needs of the Székely people. In addition to grilled dishes, we serve single-course meals in a pot. For our pre-booked guests we will serve a multi-course menu based on previous consultation.

Panoramic mountain refuges are rare in Europe. In Romania, there are two of them, both in the Bicaz/Békás Gorge. They were inaugurated this year by the Gyilkostó Adventure Association and Salvamont Harghita. One of them can be found at the Piatra Poienii/Mária-kő, the other one is on the Ucigaș/Gyilkos Mountain. The Treasure Cottage is designed to transport visitors back in time, and introduce them to the little treasures of rural life. Located in Mugeni/Bögöz (9.6 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely), the nearly 150-year-old house has served as a priest's lodge, a home for a wealthy family of farmers, a maternity hospital and a day care centre. A dairy and butter factory also operated here. The house still retains its traditional appearance and some of its original furnishings, so visitors entering through the gate will discover the treasures of a 19th century bourgeois property in a rural setting. Visitors has the opportunity to receive a presentation of various crafts, including butter making, bread baking, weaving, embroidery, straw working and herbal medicine. The salt house and apitherapy house in the courtyard are a place for relaxation and healing. The Insect Park is located next to the Mini Transylvania Park, where both giant insects, 2 meters high, and smaller insects made by our team are exhibited. The park is the only one of its kind in Romania and the second in Europe, a similar one can be visited in Poland. The park displays 18 giant robotic insects, so tourists can see and hear how they behave in nature. These insects originate from our country, ranging from the common tick to grasshoppers, ants, butterflies, ladybugs and even scorpions. Our aim is to impress the visitor with the beauty of the landscape around Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely on a Quad/ATV with a tour guide. Our destinations can be easily accessed through the forest, pastures, gravel roads, but easily accessible to anyone with our automatic transmission Quad/ATV. Our tour is a guided tour, which means we visit beautiful, breathtaking places/lookouts on a relatively easy terrain following the tour guide. During our tours, you can fully relax and enjoy a guaranteed experience. The tour starts from Forțeni/Farcád, 4 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely. We begin with a few minutes of safety briefing, then introduce you to ATV operation and get used to drive it on a road. Booking required!

We are very pleased to have been able to create a place in Harghita County that provides meaningful leisure for all ages. Children and adults can get close to the animals living in the park, and they can touch and pet them. In many cases, contact with animals can be a therapeutic nature, as it has a beneficial effect on our physical and mental health.  Nowadays, fewer and fewer pets are kept by families, so one of our goals is to introduce backyard animals and some exotic species, especially to children. The petting zoo is constantly being expanded. We also provide horseback riding and carriage rides with our beautiful pony horses.
